Paul Martin
Paul is a consultant to the firm.
Paul is a master mariner who spent 20 years at sea, 10 years as a pilot in the UK over 2 districts, and more than 16 years as a marine consultant, of which 4 years was previously spent concurrently with CJC. Having worked in Singapore and London in maritime claims, he has accrued significant experience in both geographic regions.
During his time as a consultant, he has acted for primarily P&I and H&M, but also has worked directly for other stakeholders in the maritime industry such as ship owners and managers.
Paul has been involved in numerous marine and offshore incidents, including inter alia casualties, collisions, piracy, loss of life, unsafe ports, seaworthiness, and heavy weather damage/loss of cargoes.
He has also acted as the company representative during high profile cases such as the Costa Concordia and West Atlas and has been involved in government hearings in the Philippines and Taiwan, as well as giving evidence at arbitration in the UK and the USA.
Having worked as both a consultant and previously for CJC, Paul brings a broad maritime knowledge which is invaluable in supporting the excellence of the team in achieving suitable outcomes for our clients.
