Chiara Falasco
Chiara is an Italian qualified lawyer in our Genoa office.
She has over fifteen years of experience in shipping, transport and maritime law. Her practice focuses on advising shipowners, yacht owners, maritime operators and insurers on contractual, insurance and regulatory matters, including maritime disputes, casualty-related issues, insurance claims and cross-border litigation and arbitration.
Her professional experience combines private practice with a practical understanding of the maritime industry gained through several years of involvement in vessel and superyacht management. In those roles, she advised on vessel registration, flag and class compliance, crew matters, operational issues and insurance claims, working closely with maritime authorities, classification societies and other industry stakeholders.
She has also been actively involved in the international shipping community, including as a member of the Board of Directors of Luxembourg maritime cluster, representing shipowners’ interests and contributing to the development and promotion of the maritime sector.
This combination of legal expertise and first-hand industry experience enables her to provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice and to approach maritime matters from both a legal and operational perspective.
Chiara is fluent in Italian, English and French.
