Helen McCormick
Helen is a director in our London office and a director of CTRL Marine Solutions Limited.
Helen is an experienced litigator dealing with a range of shipping disputes. Helen deals with all types of “dry” shipping work, including charterparty disputes, cargo claims, shipbuilding contract disputes and ship sale and purchase disputes. She also deals with “wet” shipping work, particularly incidents arising out of towage operations. Her particular focus is on the offshore sector, workboats and small and specialist ship owners and operators. As well as handling disputes, Helen also advises on shipping contracts including charterparties, offshore contracts and towage agreements.
Helen has acted in international arbitrations and court proceedings in London and abroad, in various forums including the LMAA, SCMA and LCIA, as well as the English High Court and Court of Appeal. She has also advised on matters involving security and enforcement proceedings in a variety of jurisdictions.
