James is a director in our London office.

James specialises in transactional, commercial, corporate and finance matters in the shipping and energy sectors.

James regularly advises ship-owners, funds, banks, managers, start-ups and green technology-focused groups and has extensive experience on all aspects of financings, restructurings, M&A, construction contracts, leasing arrangements and general commercial matters. He also has experience in energy projects (including solar and battery storage), private equity, venture capital, offshore oil and gas transactions, ECA-backed products, securities and corporate finance.

James is a member of CJC's Marshall Islands Advisory Team and has previously been seconded to DVB Bank and also spent 2 years as in-house Legal Counsel with Navig8, the world’s largest independent pool and commercial management company.
