Michael Mejia

Associate Attorney

Michael Mejia is an Associate attorney in our Miami office.

Michael works in a variety of maritime disputes and marine liability claims involving yachts and superyachts, passenger and crew liabilities, physical damage and personal injuries, marina and boatyard operations, vessel arrests and maritime attachments, collisions and marine salvage, and marine cargo losses.

He also has experience working in various government roles and insurance defense-related matters including in the areas of premises liability, medical malpractice, and Defense Base Act claims. While attending law school, Michael was a law clerk at the Florida Office of the Attorney General, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida's International Narcotics Division, and worked as a registered lobbyist within the Intergovernmental Affairs Department of Broward County, Florida.

In addition to his work at Campbell Johnston Clark, Michael is an actively-serving reservist in the Florida Army National Guard where he has attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and works as an analyst on national security matters.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University and his Juris Doctor from the St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami, Florida. He is licensed in the State of Florida as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
